Should I cover my air conditioner in the winter?
It is not necessary as they are designed to handle our climate. If leaves and debris are a concern, we would recommend a short cover. A full cover can trap moisture and create issues.
Should I put a screen on my furnace venting in order to prevent critters?
No. A screen should never be added to any gas appliance venting unless authorized by the manufacturer. The screen can freeze over in the winter months causing restriction which can lead to countless issues.
